Materials needed:

  • 12” x 12” Emerald City cardstock—Bazzill
  • 12” x 12” Bank Roll cardstock—Bazzill
  • 12” x 12” Red Carpet cardstock—Bazzill
  • 12” x 12” Lily White Sugar Coated cardstock—Doodelbug Design (6034850)
  • 8 ½” x 11 watercolor paper
  • Markers--LePlume (2302)
  • Black ink—VersaColor (89860)
  • White ink—VersaColor (89922)
  • Zing! clear embossing powder—American Crafts (6060745)
  • Gold jewel glitter—Stampendous (6058812)
  • Red jewel glitter—Stampendous (6058811)
  • Sea Green jewel glitter—Stampendous (6058810)
  • Quick-Dry Tacky Adhesive—3M
  • Glue Dots

Suggested tools:

  • Double Poinsettia wood-mount stamp—Northwoods (6046951)
  • Scroll May the Simple Joys stamp—Northwoods (6046952)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Scor-it or Scor-Pal

Instructions:

  1. Score and fold 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Emerald City paper in half to form card.
  2. Adhere 5" x 3 3/4" Lily White paper to the 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" Red Carpet paper. Adhere entire piece to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" Bank Roll paper and then adhere to card.
  3. Stamp double poinsettia image twice on watercolor cardstock using black pigment ink and emboss using clear embossing powder.
  4. Color one of the double poinsettia images completely and color just the red poinsettia of the second image. Cut out one of the double poinsettias close to the image and the other double poinsettia cut just the top layer of petals. Add Pop Dots and adhere to the complete image.
  5. Using Glue Dots, adhere the double poinsettia at a slight angle to the Lily White paper.
  6. Apply a small amount of glue to the petals and sprinkle with red glitter. Glitter the leaves in the same way using the Sea Green glitter and the middle of the poinsettias in the same way using gold glitter.
